Hello! My name is Liyan

With over 15+ years of experience of spreading joy through face painting, I've had the pleasure of calling the Hi-Desert my home since 2014. This beautiful community has not only been my base but also my canvas for creativity.

You might have spotted me gracing the stages of local community theaters, where I pour my heart into acting, music, and makeup design. I am honored to have received a Desert Theatre League Star Award for Makeup Design in 2021.

Off the stage, you'll often find me painting smiling faces all over the Hi-Desert. From the Marine Corps installation in 29 Palms to the always friendly atmosphere of the Hi-Desert Cultural Center in Yucca Valley, I love to sprinkle a little color wherever I go. And if you happen to stroll through the 29 Palms Farmers Market, chances are you'll catch me there, too! I donate a percentage of any proceeds from the Farmers Market to Theatre 29, because giving back to our creative community and supporting the arts is close to my heart.

But my passion doesn't stop with community events. I feel incredibly privileged to be invited to share in the joy of families during their special moments, whether it's a birthday bash or another milestone worth celebrating.
